Our Certified Canine Massage Therapy partners are Teresa Tackett-Willett and Carrie Bailey of Animal Zen Motion. Teresa and Carrie see clients at For Healthy Pets at least once a month. Massage therapy is not glorified petting :) There is a method as to how, where, and for how long one massages a pet.
Canine and equine massage therapy is an alternative therapy with benefits such as relaxation, increased oxygenation, pain relief and improved flexibility. It may also boost the immune system.
Massage can be used to maintain or improve both physical and emotional well being. Some of the most common uses of massage are helping to reverse muscle atrophy, provide relief from tight sore
muscles and muscle spasms.
Although not a substitute for veterinary care, the health-promoting qualities of massage, as well as its restorative properties, knowledgeable owners and trainers are incorporating this therapy as an integral part of their animals' total and continuous health care program.
If you'd like to schedule an appointment, please contact Animal Zen Motion at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your pet will thank you for it!
